A touring bicycle is a bicycle specially designed to handle cycle touring. Unlike other bicycles, it is able to carry more luggage on racks mounted to the front and rear of the bicycle frame. Other typical features include a long wheelbase with sturdy wheels for carrying a heavy load, mudguard/fender mounting points and plenty of water bottle provisions.
